At the beginning of each story, we see something like everyday life. Long before the protagonist slays a dragon or begins a quest, we see him in a strange place dreaming of something. In Beauty and the Beast (my favourite Disney classic), Belle sings that she wants more than “the life of this world.” In Star Wars, Luke can’t wait to escape the farm. And in Wizard of Oz, Dorothy sings about life “over the rainbow.” Our lives are plagued by demons that may exist.

It is easy to dismiss these people as dreamers or fools. But is it? There is a sense that must be more to life than this before various events set the hero on his way to the destination. Maybe you can hear it now. At some point, it all makes sense to Eric Miller when he realizes that the clock in his son’s life is not faster than his own and when Jody Noland becomes aware of a letter notification from a loved one.

Apartment. Storytellers call it “awakening,” the moment when everything changes and the stories of ordinary people in ordinary lives play a role in the story. But something had to happen for that to happen. The person must be involved in the problem by desire or compulsion. Bela goes to find her father. Luke leaves the room with Obi-Wan. Dorothy is caught in a tornado. In every good story, there comes the point where the actor has to decide to be more than the audience.

It is a special moment that always comes to mind before it happens in real life. However, this decision was always preceded by something more profound, the feeling that there had to be more. Therefore, when people are called to great work, they know. Then they realized the importance of waking up and doing something important because they had been waiting for it. Before the call, we need to have some ideas that make us think about our goals.

So awareness is what prepares us for the challenge. Before you know your calling, you must believe you are called to something. It doesn’t matter what you know. To raise awareness, one must be willing to take action, to get out there and see what happens. And when you’re sure reason won’t find you, you have to look for it. It’s done.

But until you make that choice, you will feel unhappy; you will see people succeeding, luck or unfair advantage. And in doing so, you will deceive yourself. Some people are lucky, and others are born with special privileges, so what are they for you? You are still called.

A phone call can be many things, but it’s not right. But you have to answer. Before you begin your life’s work, you must prepare. Opportunities come to all of us, but only those who want to acknowledge them. You don’t need a big plan. It would help if you were a little unhappy. It would help if you had a vague idea that the world is not entirely fair. That is awareness: the realization that something else is possible. You don’t need luck or a golden opportunity; you don’t have to “know.” All you need is the desire and the will to start.

Only then will you be able to devote yourself to the necessary work, and only then will you understand what is valuable. Without awareness, you will not be aware of the opportunities that come your way. They always come with their eyes open.
